Maharashtra is blessed with tremendous delishious dishes. Each region of Maharashtra has variety of spacialities. It is really difficult to try all of them. But few of them are listed below.
1. Puran poli.
Puran poli is a traditional maharashtrian recipe. It is a flatbread stuffed with mouth watering mixture of lentil, jaggery and some Indian spices. This is a sweet dish, which is served with milk and ghee. Mostly made on festivals like Diwali, Ganesh chaturthi, Rakshabandhan, Gudhipadava etc.

2. Ukadiche modak.

3. Tambda, pandhra rassa.
This is very famous kolhapuri nonvegiterian dish. It is quite tricky to cook, but worth the time. Special kolhapuri tambada rassa masala and pandhara rassa masala makes this dish conplete. Along with tambada pandhara rassa, sukka matan which is dry nonveg dish, is prefferd by locals.

4. Suralichi vadi
Suralichi vadi also known as Khandavi or Patuli. It is a savory snack in Marashtrian cuisine and Gujarati cuisine. It is bit sized tightly rolled pieces of gram flour and yogurt and decorated with grated coconut and chopped coriender.

5. Kat vada
Kat vada is traditional Maharashtrian reciepe. In which deep fried potatoes are served with spicy gravy. Kat is known as “spicy gravy” and vada is “fried mixture of potato and spices civered with gram flour”. This is a very famous street food in Maharashtra.

6. Sol Kadhi
This is a famous drink from Maharashtra’s Konkan region. Sol Kadi is made with tangy kokum or aamsol and coconut milk. Sol kadi is known to cool down the digestive system after eating spicy food. Sol kadhi contains antioxidants which improves skin health in summer.

7. Pithal Bhakari
In the end, Maharashtra’s most adored food Pithal bhakari. It is also known as “Zunaka bhakar”. This is really simple dish but also so testy. It is traditional food of Marathi people. Pithal is a currt made from gram flour and onion which is surved with bhakari which is stuffed bread.
